Based on 1,018 reviewsAladdin Kitchen and Market is widely praised for its authentic and flavorful Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, offering a diverse menu that includes kebabs, traditional appetizers, and unique dishes like cig kofte and manti. Customers appreciate the combination of a restaurant, bakery, and grocery market under one roof, often highlighting the welcoming and attentive service from staff and ownership. Some feedback mentions minor inconsistencies in certain dishes and small details like tea preparation, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive dining experience. The inviting atmosphere and quality of food make it a favored destination for both locals and visitors seeking genuine Eastern European and Middle Eastern flavors.
what a cool restaurant, bakery, and market — my friends and i came at 10pm and the staff still accommodated us and were super nice! big plus that the food was so yummy too. i had the adana kebab (it’s not thaat spicy) and i’d recommend it it was very flavorful
Absolutely love this place! We keep coming back for the food — it’s that good. At first, we didn’t even realize there was a restaurant hidden behind the grocery store, but what a great find. We totally enjoyed the Ali Nazik, Köfte Kebab, and eggplant saksuka — all incredibly delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially the owner, Vidat. Can’t recommend it enough!
The food was decent overall. The eggplant appetizer was okay, and the tomato kebab had nice flavor but was a little dry and could use a bit more meat to go with the rice. Tea was served from a bag instead of loose leaves, which was a little disappointing. Service was fine, and just a note that an 18% tip is already included in the check. The atmosphere during my visit was a bit distracting since there was a party with separate groups of men and women talking loudly. On the positive side, the store section had some interesting Turkish products for cooking. The homemade baklava was fresh and very tasty, and the Turkish pistachio ice cream was a real highlight—delicious!
First time at Aladdin and wow we loved it! The food is authentic and delicious. My husband and I had the Kofte and chicken kebabs, both were flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Portions were perfect, and the prices were great. The young lady who served us was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place, we’ll definitely be back for sure!
Food along with service was amazing. 10/10. We got the cig kofte, manti, and beef shish. The cig kofte is perfect if you like the sour pomegranate paste flavor, it was the perfect savory dish. The manti was also amazing. The beef shish was cooked perfectly and had the perfect tenderness. And lastly…the waitress was super sweet and kind :) Definitely coming back
I had an amazing experience at Aladdin! Everything was absolutely delicious — from the appetizers to the main courses. The flavors are authentic and perfectly prepared. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Turkey. The owner genuinely cares about every customer. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine.
Food was good, Service was good too. However, over priced and 18% service charges are too much While we tipped separately Sitting area was quite neat and tidy. Overall good experience
Absolutely loved this place! I tried their Mixed Grill Ali Nazik, and it was incredible — truly authentic Turkish flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The quality and taste were just like what you’d find in Turkey. Portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for real, authentic Turkish food in Chicago without overpaying. I’ll definitely be coming back!
